Day 1
Paro to Thimphu - driving distance 1.5 hour
Thimphu elevation 2200 meter.
The flight into Paro on our national carrier, Druk Air, is a befitting introduction to the spectacular beauty of our country. First gift from Bhutan will be the cool, clean fresh air as you step out of the plane. After clearing customs and visa control you will be
brief by our guide and transferred to Thimphu.
Thimphu’s population about 150,000. The town is made up of just three lines of shops, and is the only capital in the world without traffic lights. Here at Thimphu, we will do hotel check in.
At the afternoon we will visit Buddha Dordenma, a 169 feet bronze statue of Buddha, located at Kuenselphodrang Nature Park. Our next destination is National Memorial Chorten, then we will go to Thimphu Dzong, and walk around the town.

Day 2
Thimphu
Today’s schedule will be visiting heritage museum and vegetables market. Then we will visit Takin Enclosure Park (to see national animal of Bhutan), and short 30 minutes hike to Wangditse monastery overlooking Thimphu valley and visit handicraft place.

Day 3
Thimphu to Punakha – driving distance 2.5 hours
Punakha elevation 1300 meter.
Early in the morning after breakfast we will visit Dochula Pass at the height of 3050 meter. This beautiful pass has 108 stupas and view of Himalayas range if the sky is clear.
Once we reach Punakha, we go for a walk around 30 minutes to Chimi Lhakhang temple. From there we continue to Punakha Dzong, the second oldest fortress in Bhutan and become the home of the chief monk, this place also where The King and Queen wedding held. Not far from there we will cross the Suspension Bridge, the longest 200 meters bridge in Punakha.

Day 4
Punakha to Gangtey (The Valley of Phobjika) – driving distance 2.5 hours
Gangtey elevation 2900 meter.
After breakfast we will visit the Nunnary, a place for Buddhist nuns. Then we continue the journey to Gangtey valley, situated south of the road and east of Wangdiphodrang.
Here we will visit Gangtey Gompa – an old monastery dating back from 16 th century, and do the nature hike along the the valley of Gangtey – a short trek around 90 minutes and very easy.
We also will visit Black Necked Crane Center, because Gangtey also known as home for the black necked crane at winter time.

Day 5
Gangtey via Thimphu to Paro – driving distance 6 hours
Paro elevation 2200 meter.
Early in the morning we start the journey from Gangtey to Paro. On the way we will stop for tea break and toilet break. At afternoon we will visit Kichu Lhakang temple, and continue to Paro Dzong. Later at the evening we going to walk around Paro town.

Day 6
Paro
Hike to Tiger’s Nest or Paro Taktsang – total time for hike up and down 6 hours
Tiger’s Nest elevation 3100 meter.
Early in the morning we will go to the base of Paro Taktsang to start the hike up to the Tiger’s Nest monastery. Need around 1.5 hours to reach the cafetaria, where we will have a short stop for tea break and toilet break. At this area, you can enjoy the stunning view of the monastery, where Guru Padmasambhava landed on the back of a tigress in the 8 th century.
Horse ride rental available from the starting point until cafetaria area only (there will be additional charge for this) *(optional).
After all those activities, you can relax by enjoying hot stone bath in Bhutan’s traditional way (there will be additional charge for this) *(optional). Later at the evening we will enjoy a night walk around the main street of Paro’s main shopping district.

Your representative will help you with the exit formalities and bid you farewell and wish you happy journey back home.
